   Antique porcelain is one of my most favourite things. I love Limoges china with roses and I am constantly on the hunt for it. It has become so hard to find! I got lucky last year before Christmas and happened upon a few lovely pieces and today I decided to photograph them together in little vignettes. China is one of my most favourite things to photograph! The details always seem to come into focus in the picture and I appreciate them so much more!

Fairytale Crown

   I have the "crafting" bug (along with the flu - stupid flu - I'm not talking about it anymore. It doesn't exist. Maybe if I ignore it it will go away in a huff and leave me alone. They're calling it the 100 day flu. Stupid name for a stupid flu. I'm on day 40 or something like that, I dunno they're blurring together. Whatever it doesn't exist. I'm placid as a lake. Calm as a stone. One with the universe. Stupid flu with the stupid name doesn't stupid well exist) and I have been having so much fun going through all of the ideas that I have wanted to try for ages! I have wanted to make a fairytale crown for FOREVER. I see them on pinterest and I have always sat and studied the pictures wondering how someone actually made something so pretty. Well last week I sat down and just did it! It was definitely tricky. I think it turned out well though. I have listed this crown in my Etsy Shop. It is one of a kind! Valentine's Hearts

   Since I have been sick I have had a lot of time on my hands. Bed rest for weeks on end can become nearly unbearable. I had to do something to relieve the monotony! I drew pictures to begin with but when, in a stupor of foggy-brained illness, I exploded a pen ALL OVER MY ROOM (and I mean all over - my curtains are ruined and I spotted my carpet and bed linens. I was soaking antique lace for a day trying to save it from the few spots that landed on my vanity.) I decided I needed to think of something else to occupy me. I have a file folder on my computer full of pictures of projects that I want to try "someday". I decided to do something Valentine's day themed and this is what I came up with! I made these four ribbon work heart ornaments which I have now listed in my Etsy Shop. I loved making them and I was very happy with how they turned out. Let me know what you think of them! I see many more projects happening in the future - maybe there was a plus side to being sick for so long. Thankyou to everyone who sent me get well wishes! You are all so sweet!
