"We will open the book. It's pages
are blank. We are going to put words
on them ourselves. The book is called
Opportunity and its first chapter is
New Year's Day."
~Edith Lovejoy Pierce
2015 has been a remarkable year for me! It was a year of inspiration, creativity, learning experiences, new friendships, and adventures. I was ill for the first few months of the year and while that was difficult it was a time of hidden (and not so hidden) blessings. I began to make more handmade treasures for the shop including my ribbon work hearts, wreaths, and fairy dresses. That time of forced reflection gave way to so many new ideas!
I have been featured in two magazines this year - the beautiful Daphne's Diary and Romantic Homes which was such an honour. I discovered instagram and made many new friends there! I received custom orders that pushed the boundaries of what I thought I could accomplish and I have learned that I am capable of so much more than I ever realized! I want to thank you all for your support and kind words this year. Thankyou for helping to make my dreams come true! Here's hoping that 2016 will be even more spectacular!
Looking back at 2015...

Pretty Presents
"The best gifts come from
the heart, not the store. "
~Sarah Dessen
I hope that everyone had a marvellous Christmas! I always feel very sleepy during the days between Christmas and New Years. I just want to sit by the Christmas tree and watch movies with a box of chocolates in my lap. :) I'm not the only one am I? I thought I would share a few pictures of some of the beautiful things that I was given for Christmas this year!

An RS Prussia demitasse cup! LOVE!
I have wanted these boxes of pink truffles from Charbonnel et Walker for awhile now! -Not because I like the champagne truffles but because I REALLY wanted the pretty pink boxes. :)
Here is how I have displayed them.
This is a present that I put in my Mum's Christmas stocking. A gorgeous handmade ribbon roses pin by Lambs and Ivy Designs. She loved it! Thankyou Dana!
I love to get books for Christmas of every kind! These are a few that I was given this year. The gorgeous book Bright Lights Paris by Angie Niles, The Wonderful World of Fifi Lapin, a stunning pink leather journal from Ted Baker, Polish Your Poise with Madame Chic the third book by Jennifer L. Scott, and a plethora of pretty notebooks to fill with dreams, plans, and lists!
This was actually a gift my sister was given. I don't spend a lot of money on makeup unless you count lipstick and then J'adore Dior. :) My sister however loves Sephora and for Christmas she was given this beautiful set from Too Faced. It is so adorable! I love the packaging!
I hope you enjoyed these pictures! It will be 2016 before you know it and I will be looking back at the year 2015 and all that I shared here with you!

Pink Trees and Presents
"The best of all gifts around any
Christmas tree; the presence of a
happy family all wrapped up in
each other."
~Burton Hillis
Only a week until Christmas! Is everyone ready? I always plan very carefully and then the week before Christmas have to do a few quick runs. :) I am excited for the holidays though! Each year I try to do something special with my Christmas wrapping. I search high and low for pastel papers and then I get creative with the trimmings. This Christmas I went all out! I made my own tags, embellished the gifts with beautiful ribbons, ornaments, and handmade flowers. I even made a miniature dress for the top of one gift! I added two little trees to my decorations this year as well. One pretty feathery pink one that I decorated with tiny pink ornaments and pearls, and a silvery crystal tree from Pottery Barn that I spent an afternoon wiring pretty pink crystals on. I also found a small pearlescent pink cake stand at Anthropologie and used it to hold a sparkly column candle with a handmade candle wreath. As you can see my theme this year is pink :) I long to have a full sized white tree that I can fill with pretty pink and ivory ornaments. Maybe next year!
