January Roses

"The rose is a flower of love."
                  ~Unknown

I have been house bound for most of the month of January. This week was my first time venturing out for something besides a Doctor's appointment. It was a very important errand though. My Mum's birthday is tomorrow! This outing was for a birthday essential: belgian chocolates! While I was out running my 'errand' I found these beautiful billowy roses at my favourite florist. I love the soft pastel colours! They match the wrapping on my Mum's birthday present. A pink box trimmed with re-embroidered lace and a handmade chiffon flower. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Porcelain, Pearls, and Pink

"Anything is possible with
sunshine and a little pink."
            ~Lilly Pulitzer

I am doing a little bit better! Still with a lingering cough and general weakness but definitely better than the past few weeks when I wasn't even able to leave my bed. Thankyou for all of your get well wishes and kind words! Most of all thank you for your patience! I will be moving back into things slowly but I look forward to beginning new projects and going back on the hunt for beautiful treasures for the shop. I haven't been able to really blog this month which was frustrating! I have taken a few photos of some special pieces of china from my collection and a few pretty things from the shop and I hope you enjoy them! The gorgeous Limoges tea set was a present from my Mum for Christmas. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! It is so dainty and sweet. :)

I have so many ideas for some handmade jewelry pieces. This is a necklace which I listed this week.

I have been making ribbon work heart ornaments in anticipation of Valentine's Day. I like to keep them up year round!

I found this little pink plate just after Christmas. It is Limoges! I just love the three little girls sitting on the bench.

Home Sick

I have been absent for a little while and I don't want you to think that I have disappeared! I came down with a rather nasty bug and have been very sick for the past week or so and not able to do very much of anything. I'm still struggling but with any luck I will be back on my feet soon and able to work on the shop again. Thankyou so much to everyone who has sent me get well wishes. You are all so sweet and kind! While I have been laying in bed with the snow falling outside I have been dreaming of summer and flowers and picturing all of the photos that I will take when the air is warm and the grass green. These are just a few pictures from one or two of my PINTEREST boards that have helped to inspire me. I hope that you are all doing well!

A New Year!

"Write it on your heart that every
day is the best day of the year."
                ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

New Year's Day I came down with the flu bug that my whole family was fighting over Christmas which is why I have been a little bit absent for the past week. It's exciting though to be beginning a new year! I have so many ideas and plans to bring into being - a whole notebook full! I'm one of those people who loves lists, making plans, and writing things down. :) I can't wait to start! Just a few random pictures for today. I have finally had the chance to add some new treasures to the Etsy Shop. Some lovely pieces of china, vintage lace, and handmade pretties to be seen there! It was my sweet niece's second birthday this week and I drew her name for her to hang in her room. Her name is Coralie and we are best pals. :) Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
