Jewel Tones

"Why do two colors, put one next to the other, sing?
Can one really explain this? no."
                      ~Pablo Picasso

I have been making time lately to do things that renew me - taking pictures, drawing, singing, dancing, going out with my Mum and sister, eating yummy food, reading, looking at beautiful things etc, etc. If I can fit even one of those things into a busy schedule the whole week is happier and I am more peaceful inside. I love to look at other people's beautiful pictures and read their thoughts - I added more than twenty new blogs to my blog list that I hope you will take the time to browse through! They are all absolutely wonderful! The photos that I am posting today were inspired by one picture that I took for the Rachel Ashwell post - I downloaded it to the computer and thought: "Wouldn't it be neat to do a whole set of photos in these bright colors!" ...I am a fan of pastels as you know but there are some truly beautiful things in bright shades that just grab your attention and hold you spellbound. Here are a few things from my home in bright jewel tones and a little drawing from my sketchbook (She is a companion to the Darkling Dolls - 'Odd Doll Wind-up'). Have fun!

  6. Thankyou thankyou!! Not all of these pretty things are mine - but I agree that they are special! I love the glitter too! Around this time of year and approaching Christmas I can't get enough of it! My favorite thing to do is go decoration shopping and if I come home covered in sparkles with a couple little treasures I'm happy! :) Thanks for visiting!

  7. How beautiful is all this. We just shot a wedding where the bride used family brooches as a bouquet. I think it would fit beautifully into your inspiration.
