in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky,
in the street, fashion has to do with
ideas, the way we live, what is happening."
~Coco Chanel
This month has been very bleak for posts and I am sorry for that! I caught a bad bug which kept me bedridden for a couple weeks and everything has been very behind ever since. I have been planning this post for awhile now and I am excited to show it to you! One of my favourite books a few years ago was 'The Well-Dressed Home' by Annette Tatum which talks about making your home a reflection of your fashion and style sensibilities. It is a beautiful book filled with photos of incredible homes, gorgeous fashion, jewelry, and couture runways. I loved how it combined the textures and shades of dress with those of the home. What a fascinating idea! What can be more individual and unique than your personal sense of fashion? To bring that sense into your home decor requires you to be introspective about the colours and textures that you love to live in. I have seen similar articles meant to inspire in popular fashion and home magazines where pictures of clothing, jewelry, furniture, and lighting were all collaged together in matching hues. I wanted to do something like this! I have harvested some of my favourite photos from my FASHION pinterest board and created vignettes which I believe reflect the same style and atmosphere. You will be surprised how different fashion ideas can inspire you in your decorating! Give it a try!
