This is a project that I have been working on for almost three months and I am excited to share it with you! I had to make some changes to my room in order to incorporate my office space this past September and was eager to make sure that it didn't detract from the decor. My room has undergone some changes and evolved from predominantly antique original wood stained pieces to all soft cream furniture and fabrics (More pictures soon!). I knew that I wanted a large-ish pin board to go above my desk and I started the hunt for a beautiful frame right away. I looked in every local antique store and found nothing. Then on one saturday outing to a little town about 45 minutes outside of the city I found this stunning pinkish mauve beauty propped up against an antique door and knew straight away that it was the one! It has taken me a little while collecting pictures and baubles but I am very happy with how it turned out! I have filled it with artwork, quotes, miniature ormolu frames, ribbon work and trims, pearls and vintage jewelry, ribbon roses and other sweet little treasures. I spend a lot of time on the computer and it is nice to have something lovely to look at! I've also decorated the desk with a little Royal Doulton bowl, pretty notebooks, and a custom made mouse pad filled with roses. You can find the beautiful shabby white picture frame with the pink roses in my Etsy Shop. (Photos of more new treasures in the shop at the end of this post!)

Oh my goodness, I love all the amazing details in this room! Must have taken you ages to collect so much gorgeous decor! The frame on the board is so intricate, and I'm pining for that gold key, lol. Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove your work space creation. If I found myself sitting there, I don't think I'd get any work done. But I would do plenty of daydream weaving, spinning clouds of fantasy and dreams. Also, love, love, love your mousepad. I want one just like it!!! You see - it's the little things that matter. And you've done a marvelous job of collecting and assembling them. Now, back to my laptop for some serious reorganizing. Thank you, dear lady!
