Heirlooms Part 1

"We do not remember days, we remember moments.
The richness of life lies in memories we have forgotten."
                                  ~Cesare Pavese

I have been eagerly saving up pictures of the store where I work so that I could post about it as promised and when I went through the files I found that I have photos enough for two or three posts! The store where I work is called Heirloom Antiques and it is absolutely wonderful! I have known the owners for most of my life. When I was two years old I met them for the first time - My Mum loved to go antiquing. I'm told that I stood mesmerized beside a doll that stood as high as me for most of the visit. They are incredibly knowledgeable having been in the business for forty years now, and their store is just gorgeous! They are very dear friends and Heirlooms is a lovely place to work! Here is the first set of photos which show just a few of the treasures at Heirlooms- I hope you enjoy looking through them!

  1. Oh what fun! Nothing is more fun than antiquing...except visiting thru pictures a place you could not visit in person!! Thank you for the tour.

I love the necklace and the pocket watches. I posted on my blog about my collection of antique toy sewing machines. I have one just like the picture, along with about 10-11 more. Come by and take a look at them when you have time.

    Hugs,
    Dana

  2. Oh Jennelise you get to work there!? If it were me I'd never take home a cent because I'd spend all my money on the fabulous antiques!*winks* I'm salivating a little and it's not a pretty picture lol! I would so grab up that first french clock in a heartbeat! And the price is VERY reasonable. And the maroon butlers chair...I've wanted one for ages!
I can't wait to see more shots from this beautiful shop *sighs dreamily* Vanna

  4. Where is your blog Dana? I couldn't see the toy sewing machines - I must be looking in the wrong place! I have spent a good portion of my wages at the store over the years Vanna! :) I'm glad you liked so many things! I wish you could come visit (I wish even more that I could visit where you live because judging from your home there are some wonderful antiques around there!) Thanks for everyone's comments! Take care!
