My Spring Garland

"Spring is the time of plans
and projects."
         ~Leo Tolstoy
          Anna Karenina

For some reason when the sun is shining and the air is warm it is easier to be positive and see the possibilities in the day! I find that even if I am doing something tedious that the fall of sunshine through a window or the breeze through a door can make the time pass pleasantly. Strange I should live in a winter country. :) I have been working on these photos for a week or more and I am excited to share them. I made myself a spring garland to hang over my window using a very long strand of vintage faux pearls. In the planning stages I was only going to cover it with hand made ribbon flowers and wispy tassels but I (of course) embellished as I went along until it was bedecked in vintage tatting trim, miniature flower wreaths, hearts, and a fairy dress! It was fun to make (even though it took MUCH longer than I had originally planned) and I am very happy with it. It looks pretty hanging over the lace curtains of my window and I love to wake up in the morning and stare at it before I start the day.
