Mother's Day

"My mother is a poem
I'll never be able to write,
though everything I write
is a poem to my mother."
          ~Sharon Doubiago

I have talked about my Mother many times on this blog because so much of my life has been influenced and beautified by her. She is my dearest and best friend, and is always the one I turn to when the world becomes in any way a confusing or fearful place. I am constantly amazed by the things she says when I am low. As I have grown up and begun to think that I am a little bit stronger than I once was, a little bit smarter, and a little bit more independent - I often try to bear my minor and not so minor troubles alone. Inevitably, however, sooner or later I turn to my Mum and always, always, she says something that I feel in my heart I never could have thought of myself. Maybe it is just that I need to hear the words spoken in her understanding voice. I love her. I just wanted to say it because this is the day devoted to her, because I feel it, and because she in every way deserves to hear it.

Happy Mother's Day everyone! Here are some photos of my Mum's white roses and a new drawing I did for her...
