I have been sick with the flu for two weeks now. It infected my entire household and kept us all bedridden. It is nice to finally be up and about again! I had my first outing in a little while and went treasure hunting at a beautiful antique mall in a little town outside of my city. The store is in a large old brick building with creaky wooden floor boards and high ceilings. There are little rooms in the upstairs that individual dealers have decorated. I love the "shabby chic" rooms with the painted and old French pieces. I snapped a few quick photos while I was there for fun - my hand is a bit shakier this time so they aren't fabulous quality but I thought you would enjoy this little peek!

Here in Canada it is Thanksgiving Day! I had dinner with my family yesterday and it was so scrumptious that on a whim I took out my phone and snapped a few quick pictures. I've coupled them with some lovely vintage Thanksgiving postcard images (from pinterest:). As you can see from my photos my favourite part was the dessert table! Happy Thanksgiving!

Today was a perfect Autumn day - the sun was shining and the leaves were golden. I take my little nine month old baby niece for a walk everyday now and today neither of us needed a jacket it was so lovely and warm. She cooed and chattered to me the whole way! Days like today remind me why I like Fall. I was so sad over the sudden departure of summer! I am just beginning to enjoy this new season. I like to sit with a cup of tea and relax with a book on a pretty autumn evening like this one. I took these pictures a few days ago with this happy pastime in mind...
