Summer Fun

"Summer afternoon—summer afternoon;
to me those have always been the two most
beautiful words in the English language.”
                    ~Henry James

   I had a week's break from work and it was so lovely! I did all kinds of summery things with my family and had a chance to de-stress a little. I went out of town for a few days and did a little antiquing (which is one of my most FAVOURITE things to do!), visited a lake with my sister, brother in law, and a friend, saw movies, went to a FABULOUS bakery, and generally had a wonderful time! I took lots of pictures and here are just a few that I wanted to share with you including me and my sister at the lake, an outdoor cafe I visited, a ballroom in a hotel that I walked through which was gorgeous, and the FABULOUS french bakery my parents and I visited. The beautiful lady in the bakery photos with the eclair is my lovely Mum! I hope everyone is enjoying the last few weeks of summer too!

  1. Beautiful photos Jennelise! I love the pictures of the lake, very calming. The photo of the outdoor cafe reminds of a photo I took this summer when I was in Tarpon Springs with my parents. And you my dear are the spitting image of your beautiful mum!

  2. Wonderful photos but by far the best one is of you - you are absolutely beautiful, you look like a ballerina.

    That big ole buffalo is funny, haha. Can you imagine waking to that everyday? I have never EVER understood decorating with dead things. Bleck. So gross. There should be a fabulous ornate antique mirror there, not a DEAD ANIMAL, what gives with that? Guys, sheesh. Let's just go over here and take a look at the taxidermied (fill in the blank.) Really? Icky huh?

    Of course my fav posts are of your AMAZING artwork, but sure is fun to see a little bit of you and your life, too.

    I love your prints, I have just been to look at your etsy shop, I hope I can put some of your work on my blog at some point.
