one next to the other, sing?
Can one really explain this?"
~Pablo Picasso
The weather is so warm lately it really feels like summer is approaching. I am ready for picnics in the garden, long walks in the evening, and fresh flowers! I am a pastel girl and yet when spring begins I really enjoy seeing splashes of colour everywhere! In my kitchen I especially love to have more patterns. I have started collecting odd bits of china with beautiful floral designs. I mix vintage bowls and plates with new pieces and pretty glass goblets. I love bright tea towels and napkins and the floral place mats pictured below are my new favourite! The other night I was in the kitchen washing a stack of mismatched plates and through the window I could see my little niece playing in the back yard in a brightly coloured "fairy dress". I thought to myself, "Hello Summer! How I've missed you!"
Love, love, love your blog, beautiful! Thank you for posting

What a cute little post! I would almost have to call it endearing. May I ask where you purchased the floral place mats? I'm always looking for those extra little touches to dress up our house and make it more "home." Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHello Christine! I bought the place mats at a store called Bowring. They have so many pretty floral patterns right now for spring. :) Thankyou as always for your kind words!

How wonderful to be enjoying warm sunny days, with many more to look forward too...it's getting quite cold here but that's how the seasons roll l guess and it's best we make the most of whatever they decide to bring us:-) Your china is divine, l would love to be able to shop where you do since you always find so many gorgeous pretties. The placemats are fantastic and match your china beautifully...l bet your niece looks a real cutie pie in her fairy dress.
ReplyDeleteThe rain has suddenly arrived here but since it is sorely needed I can't really complain. :) I love the place mats too - they are from a store called Bowring. Thankyou for stopping by!

Jennelise!
ReplyDeleteI love the mirror you posted in Instagram! Is that a finish you did yourself on it? I'd love to ask you some questions about it! Even if you just have an idea of how to make that finish, is love to hear it! I'm at Betsy's Heartstrings blog.
Hugs!

Hello Betsy! I have so many vintage mirrors in my home - they are a favourite of mine. :) Which one in particular are you meaning? Many of them have the original finish. Thankyou so much for stopping by!
