Editing Photos

With so much happening lately I don't have many spare minutes to play on the computer! I stayed up late one night and got my Jennelise Rose facebook page up and running (there is a badge on my sidebar now). The response has been exciting! I love to hear from everyone.
My sisters's bridal shower is this week - and for those who asked I did find a present (or several actually, I got a little carried away) - hopefully there will be pretty pictures from the party to share with you! In the meantime I made a discovery called Picmonkey, which is an online photo editing site. I didn't even know such things existed - haha!! Well, in my few spare moments I have played with a few of my old photos on picmonkey and I am so pleased with the results! It is so much fun and I just keep getting new ideas! I have a few samples here to show you. I had already been toying with the idea of selling some photographs on my etsy store at some point and my little foray into the world of editing has clinched it for me. Very soon I will be adding glossy prints of my photographs. I hope you like them! Please, please let me know what you think and which ones appeal to you the most. I love to know what everyone thinks and I am very often surprised!

I also wanted to share this new music video that is wonderful. I love Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars and when I heard they were singing together for the new movie The Hunger Games I was so excited! This is a beautiful song called 'Safe and Sound'.

I am linking up with these parties today:

  1. I just love all your photos.. I have been following your blog for a while. I have found your photography to be so inspiring. I have just purchased a new camera. Thanks for sharing

  2. oh- Your photos are ALL just beyond gorgeous. I don't know how to do any of that I am always doubly impressed when you show such beautiful pictures. xo Diana

  3. All of these are just gorgeous! I 've been playing with PicMonkey for about a week now and have been having too much fun with it! I recently went to a bridal shower and took a ton of photos. Then the other night in my photography class someone told me about a book making site called Blurb. Yes Blurb and I decided to make a book of the bride's shower to give to her as part of her wedding gift. I did all my editing in PicMonkey and then uploaded them to Blurb to make the book! I really hope she likes it...I think it is a lovely gift and Jennelis your photos would be stunning in a book!

  4. Hi Jennelise,
Your photos are beautiful! Thank you for the info. I'll be playing with PicMonkey soon.
    Blessings, ~Wendy

  5. I liked the magenta roses in the cut-glass/crystal pitcher with the "lacy" backdrop. I also like the images you capture "through the looking glass" no matter if the foreground is dimmed or not. Your close-up is certainly ethereal. Sounds like Picmonkey is another fun art tool!

  6. Jennelise you did a fantastic job on all of them! gosh. Thanks for posting about this because I had been to pickmonkey but did not see the other options for adding textures and designs etc, but seeing what you did I see the possibilities and one can get lost doing with with all their pics :D. You did beautiful ones, you are talented, and gorgeous too. blessings Lady

  7. Happy May Day Jennelise!! It's the day in France lily of the valley are offer as lucky charm for all year!!
Joyeux 1er mai to you and yours!!!

  8. All of your pictures are amazing! I just found Picmonkey the other day and went and fooled around on it for a little bit, but I need to spend more time. Your backgrounds look amazing...I need to really delve into this pretty!

  9. Your pictures are gorgeous! Haven't tried Picmonkey yet but will definitely do so now after seeing what you did :-).
thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your lovely comment on my cupcakes, got me to visit you.
i am following you now on gfc and would be honored if you would like to follow back, but no hard feelings if not :-)
looking forward to reading more from you!

  10. Beautiful photos!

I've used PicMonkey for a while now but haven't decided if I really like it or not. They seem to have some site issues now and then.

  11. Your photos are heavenly & thanks for the introduction to Picmonkey!

  12. STUNNING!!! I am so excited and happy for you that you're expanding your creative "wares"...I would just say your genres of art! Magnificent....
I like Picmonkey, they are actually the product of the guys of Picnik, which closed down. Isn't the editing addicting??? I love it!
    Bravo, Jennelise...
