Bella Notte Linens

"Winter is the time for comfort, for good
food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly
hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the
time for home."
             ~Diane Edith Sitwell (1887-1964)

Anyone who knows me well knows how much I love home and everything to do with it. I love eating dinner as a family, I love sitting in the family room in the evening with a book or a movie, I love coming home after a holiday and the way that everything seems new, I love being surrounded by small treasures collected and loved over the years, I love the quiet corners and the places that reverberate with happy noise, I love the memories that seep into the walls of every room and make home the most beautiful place in the world. I also love the comfort of home and I adore crawling into my bed at night and falling asleep. My cousin sent me a message recently with a link enclosed for Bella Notte Linens. She wrote in the message that every time she looked through their catalogue the photos made her think of me! I of course immediately went to the site to have a peek and what I found is the most gorgeous line of bedding in the entire world! Every piece of linen and lace - every pillow, robe, quilt, and coverlet is absolutely beautiful! No matter what your taste or style is you will find something at Bella Notte to make you swoon. I'm sure that Bella Notte is well known to many of you but I was so entranced by their beautiful photos I had to share some with you in case you have never heard of them! Here are my favorite pictures from their online album (access through their site) showcasing items from this year's collection as well as from two and three years ago. I hope you will visit - you will not be disappointed! I have also done a little sketch in honor of their beautiful linens. Enjoy!

  2. You're right. These are all so lovely. It makes me want to go crazy and just redecorate my entire bedroom from scratch.

After I win the lottery, I'm gonna be one busy designing gal. :p

  7. Beautiful...I hate to think what some of these wonderful, extravagant luxuries must cost.

  8. As I looked at your photos, the word that kept coming to me was "dressing." Bed-dressing. Dressing of the bed.

Hairdressers; they dress hair. We, of course, dress our bodies. Silly things...salad dressing; dressing a salad. Or rooms...what is the room wearing? How is the room dressed today?

Maybe to dress, means to enhance. Finishing touches. Crowning glory. Arrangement and display. Style and creativity. Accessorizing. Decorating.

Lush and unique fabric, great textures and rich color have to make you want to stay in what you're wearing, both in the clothes and the room or a bed.

Very interesting. I haven't paid too much attention to bed linens except for Rachel Ashwell's. Or I guess Martha Stewart's in past years.

Thanks for sharing some inspiring ideas. And things to wish for!

  9. I'm sure these beautiful linens do cost a pretty penny! I think they are absolutely gorgeous though! I don't normally notice bedding either - unless it is stunning! I had a Rachel Ashwell coverlet when I was a teenager and it was beautiful. Sadly I wore it out :) Maybe one day I will have Bella Notte bedding - a girl can dream!

  10. What eye candy!
Bella Notte is definitely my favorite bedding line...but a bit out of my budget. One of these days though, I hope to buy some of those gorgeous pillow shams!

  11. I have loved the Bella Norte linens for years. I only wish my pocket book had the ability to love them. (smile)I also love your beautiful art too Jennelise. I thought you already had an etsy shop. I guess the one with the beautiful roses is not yours. I thought it was. I'm so looking forward to it and being able to purchase your art. I absolutely adore it.
